Following the introduction of the new Nightjet rail service from Paris to Vienna why not treat yourself to a long weekend enjoying the French and the Austrian capitals? No flights required, simply pop onto Eurostar, enjoy an overnight stay in Paris before crossing Europe overnight to reach Vienna. Re-visit the nostalgic days of sleeper train travel across the Continent.
The Nightjet runs 3 days a week.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Eurostar to Paris
Take a morning Eurostar service from London to Paris and check in to your hotel directly across the street. Enjoy an afternoon and evening at leisure in Paris.
Day 2 – City Sights & Sleeper Train
A full day to explore Paris. After dinner board your Nightjet rail service to Vienna. This new direct service revives the history of the Orient Express. Sit back in your private compartment with a complimentary welcome drink.
Day 3 – Wake Up in Vienna
Enjoy an à la carte breakfast with hot beverage on board the train before arriving in Vienna shortly after 10am. Your hotel for the next two nights is close to the station.
Day 4 – Sightseeing in Vienna
For a first time visitor to Vienna the main attractions should include Stephansdom (cathedral), Spanish Riding School, Opera House and Schönbrunn Palace. Do also find time to enjoy coffee and cake in a traditional Viennese coffee house! We can help advise you on the many sightseeing options.
Day 5 – Vienna & Sleeper Train
Enjoy another full day exploring Vienna before boarding your train home.
Day 6 – Homeward Bound
Arrive in Paris mid-morning before a lunch time Eurostar back to London.
