Day 1 – Travel to Boppard

Early morning Eurostar from London to Brussels with an onward connection to Cologne. Contine by train to the town of Boppard, situated in the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Rhine Gorge, for a 4-night stay at the Bellevue Hotel on a half board basis.

Day 2 – Limburg via Lahn Valley Line

Morning train to Koblenz, then along the scenic Lahn Valley line, one of the oldest railways in Germany. Our destination is the historic town of Limburg. We have a few hours to spend at leisure in Limburg before returning to Boppard by train.

Day 3 – Rhine in Flames Festival

Morning at leisure in Boppard before catching the afternoon train to St Goar for the Rhine in Flames festival. A few hours to explore the wine festival in St Goar before embarking on a river boat to enjoy the fireworks and atmosphere of the ‘Rhein in Flammen’. Late evening private transfer from St Goar to our hotel in Boppard.

Day 4 – Rüdesheim

Late morning paddle boat journey along the Rhine to the popular, winemaking town of Rüdesheim. The journey delivers scenic views of the Rhine and the historic towns which lie on its banks. We pass the famous Lorelei, the 132m high steep slate rock on the right bank of the Rhine which has inspired myths and literature. Spend a couple of hours in Rüdesheim before returning to Boppard by train.

Day 5 – Return Home to London

Early morning departure from Boppard via Cologne and Brussels, arriving at St Pancras late afternoon.
